Grammar 定语从句是指在复合句中作定语的从句,定语从句所修饰的词叫先行词。 定语从句通常放在先行词的后面,由关系代词或关系副词引导。本课我们将学 习由关系代词 that 或 which 及 who 引导的定语从句。 which, who, that 引导的定语从句 which, that 和

9、 who 是定语从句中重要的引导词。下面的例句是由 which, that 和 who 引导的定语从句。请同学们仔细观察,然后补全结论部分所缺内容。 【例句】 1. China is a country which / that has a long history. 2. This is the book which / that my mother bought me yesterday. 3. The man who / that is standing by the door is her brother. 4. I like the boy who / whom / that I m

10、et at the party. 【结论】 1. 观察例句 1 和 2 可以看出,which 引导的定语从句修饰的是_(人/物) 。 由例句 3 和 4 可知,who 引导的定语从句修饰的是 _(人/物) 。 2. 由例句 1 和 3 可知,which 和 who 在定语从句中可以作_语;观察例句 2 和 4 可以看出,which 和 who 在定语从句中还可以作_语。 3. 观察例句 1 和 2 可以看出,which 在定语从句中作主语或宾语时均可由 _代替;由例 句 3 可知,who 在定语从句中作主语时,可由_代 替;由例句 4 可知,who 在定语从句中作宾语时,可由 _或_代 替。
