3、arch into hybrid rice. Because of his achievements, rice production has been increased by 20%30%. That is why I admire him so much. III. Focus of the lesson and predicted area of difficulty 1. To introduce a persons major events, using the attributive clauses. 2. To tell the reason why I admire him

4、or her. IV. Teaching procedures Step 1 Lead-in T: In this unit, we have learnt about many great people. Tell me who they are according to the descriptions. T: We call him “Father of Hybrid Rice”. He is a rice scientist. He is a member of the Academy of Engineering. 【设计意图:通过对前期所学的伟人的描述让学生热身且快速回顾的同时,导

S: T: Who can help me to change this sentence using the word “so”? S: T: Great! Now who can tell me why he began research into hybrid rice? S: T: Who can use

8、“so” to change this sentence? S: T: Do you think Yuan is a great scientist that is well worth admiring? S: T: Amy admires him as well, and she gives the reason why she admires him. Can you find it? S: T: Good! T: Now please read these sentences loudly by yourselves! T: So when we write, we can use c

9、lauses leading by “because” or “so” to make the sentences long.
