Manage both the investment and trade activities of the VGBO, including Access China marketing entry program;3. Strategically plan and facilitate investment attracti
2、on, trade initiatives for the Victorian Government and manage the use of the service office facilities, provided under the Access China Program;4. Work with potential investors through their decision processes to secure new investment into Victoria, facilitate and assist Victorian companies to plan
3、and execute their market development activities into China, participate in trade promotion activities where required;5. Establish and build relationships with key Chinese based executives of organisations that either already have significant investments in Victoria or are planning to make investment
4、s, working closely in consultation with relevant Sector and Account Managers within the Department of Business and Innovation in Melbourne;6. Maintain and build effective relationships with other related Australian and Chinese agencies in the China region, including the Australian Embassy in Beijing
5、, Austrade, Austcham, MOFCOM, CCPIT, key industry associations and other intermediaries;7. Establish and develop strong relationships with Victorian based stakeholders to enable collaborative progression of investment and export outcomes;8. Manage site visits of potential investors to Victoria in co
6、-operation with other Victorian Government staff and provide professional marketing advice and assistance regarding market entry and the formation of partnerships between Victorian and Chinese companies;9. Provide high quality advice, reports (including market focused industry reports for publicatio
7、n) and support to government, non-government agencies and senior DBI management regarding issues relevant to businesses and the economic development opportunities for the China region;10. Prepare and deliver presentations at industry conferences and trade events promoting Melbourne as a compelling i
8、nvestment destination, and represent Victoria at lead generation and intermediary forums and seminars.KEY SELECTION CRITERIA1. Experience in international business development, export management and the ability to win business, together with a good understanding of the global business environment (i
9、n particular as it relates to the China region) and the major issues which impact on the ability to attract international investment and trade to Australia and Victoria;2. Excellent understanding of the Australian and Victorian business environment, including key industry, economic and socio-politic
10、al drivers with preferably experience working in government and /or private sector;3. Demonstrated management and leadership experience together with well developed organisational, time management and problem solving skills and the proven ability to work effectively in a small team environment;4. Pr
11、oven ability to proactively seek out and call on senior executives of commercial organisations, understand their investment decision process and the ability to influence these processes;5. A knowledge of Victorias international competitive advantages, government operations, policy and planning pract
12、ices;6. Demonstrated experience in managing relationships with complex client organisations;7. Extensive research and analysis experience involving industry or economic development issues including an understanding of international business protocols and investment decision-making processes;8.
