11、inance, agriculture produce and brand management.The China-ASEAN Expo was proposed by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao at the 7th China-ASEAN summit in 2003 in an effort to create a China-ASEAN Free Trade Area(CAFTA) and promote common prosperity.Government leaders from China and the ASEAN nations inked t
12、he Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Pact between China and ASEAN at the 6th China-ASEAN Summit held in Phnom Penh(金边 ), Cambodia(柬浦寨) in November, 2002, formally starting the creation of the CAFTA. When it was finished on January 1, 2010, CAFTA has been the largest FTA of de
13、veloping countries so far, benefiting more than 1.9 billion consumers, a combined GDP of roughly US$6 trillion, and a total trade volume of US$4.5 trillion. In the first half of 2010, the total trade volume between China and ASEAN surpassed US$136 billion. The value of Chinas imports exceeded US$71
14、billion, skyrocketing by 64 percent in comparison with the same period last year, and its exports was US$64.6 billion, up 45 percent against 2009. This showcases the trade growth between the two sides since the CAFTA was formally launched.China plunged US$0.23-3 billion in the area as investment dur
15、ing 2003-2009 while the South Asia nations invested US$2.93-4.68 in China.Many Chinese tourists poured into the ten ASEAN countries and they spent much, boosting the tourism industries there. There were about 4,500,000 in the year of 2009.The total trade value of this year is bound to exceed that of
