10、 语法讲解：英语中征求对方允许时常用的句型除了 Can/ Could I do sth?之外（参见第 12 册 Unit 10的 Grammar Notes），也可以用 May I do sth.?（我可以做吗？）或 Must I do sth.?（我必须做吗？）1. 情态动词 may 表示“可以”。含有 may 的一般疑问句表示请求、许可时，它的否定回答不能用 may not，而是 cant 或 mustnt。例如：May I use your computer? 我可以用你的电脑吗？Yes, you can. 可以。No, you cant./ No, you mustnt. 不，不能用。
11、2. 情态动词 must 表示“应该”“必须”。否定式 must not（mustnt）表示“不应该”“不允许”“不准”等。本单元 mustnt 的主要用法是表示禁止和警告。在回答 must 的问句时，肯定回答是 Yes, you must。否定回答是 No, you need not（n eednt）。表示“不必”，而不用 must not。例如：Must I go now? 我现在必须走吗？Yes, you must./ No, you neednt. 是的，你必须走。/ 不，你不必现在走。3. 要求某人做某事时，可以用 You must do sth. 或 Remember to do
12、sth.结构。例如：You must obey the traffic rules. 你必须遵守交通规则。Remember to ride your scooter on the sidewalk. 记住在人行道上骑单脚滑行车。4. 不允许某人做某事时，可以说 You cant do sth. 或者 Dont do sth. （参见第 12 册 Unit 10 的 Grammar Notes）。语气再强一点可以用 Never do sth.或者 You mustnt do sth. 例如：You mustnt swim in the river. 你千万不要在河里游泳。You mustnt smoke here. 禁止在此处吸烟。Never be late again. 千万不要再迟到了。Never put your hea d, arms, or feet out of the bus windows. 千万不要把头、胳膊或脚伸出车窗外。
