Talk about personalities.三. 具体内容：（一）enough1. enough 修饰形容词或副词时必须位于被修饰的词语之后 。修饰名词时一般位于其前，也可位于其后。enough 后面通常接不定式短语或介词 for 短语。e.g. The question is easy enough.Tom didn
2、t do his homework carefully enough.The water is cool enough to drink.We have enough tickets for all of you.2. 修饰形容词时，如果用于否定句，则否定句在否定 enough 的同时，也否定了其后的不定式。e.g. He is not careful enough to do the work.She is not old enough to go to school.enough 如果修饰名词，用于否定句时，不定式没有被否定之意。e.g. There were not enough peo
3、ple to pick the apples.3. enough 也可以做代词，意思是“足够，充足”。e.g. We have enough to do to complete the project.（二）toototoo+形容词或副词 +(for sb.)+to do 表示“太以至于不能”，不定式虽然是肯定形式，但与前面的搭配构成了否定的含义e.g. The book is too diff icult for you to read.She is too short to catch the apples on the tree.在 too to 结构中，too 前面用了 never 这
4、个词，则动词不定式可以把否定变为肯定。e.g. Its never too old to learn.（三）修饰性副词。根据汉语意思，选择恰当的修饰性副词。1. rather, a bit, a little 可减轻形容词的绝对性。2. really, extremely, quite 可起到强化形容词的作用。3. at all 用于否定句加强语气。e.g. He is rather stubborn.I am a little careless.She is a bit absent-minded.He is extremely patient.I am not serious at all
5、.Theyre quite friendly.（四）to give reasons and purposese.g. 1)Why did you get a pet? To have company.2)Why do they use animals for treatment?Because they help people relax.3)Why do you talk to your parents about everything?So t hey trust me.4)I want a pet to take it for walk.5)Animals are good listen
6、ers because they dont stop you.To 表示目的：Doctors use animals to help people feel better.Because 表示原因：I love cats because they are very clean.So 表示结果：People have pets so they dont feel better.（五）to make contrast between two things with different ph rasese.g. Eric is hardworking, but Danny is very lazy.
7、While Eric is funny, Danny is quite serious.Dannys bedroom is very messy. Erics, on the other hand, is very tidy .but, while, on the other hand 都表示转折。（六）To talk about personality.1. Adjectives to describe personality.friendly 友好的 lazy 懒惰的 helpful 有帮助的 moody 喜怒无常的lonely 孤僻的 hardworking 努力工作的flexible
