As we all know, it is not a long history that English is as a subject in primary school in our country and the main instructional aims of teaching English in primary school is to cult

2、ivate pupils basic abilities of their listening, speaking and their good sense of the English language. Oxford Primary English is teaching materials that emphasize the students basic abilities of their listening, speaking and their good sense of the English language. I. Contents: Today Im going to t

3、alk about Unit5 Review and check Oxford Primary English Book 5. This unit is about the exercise from unit 1 to unit4. Based on the content, Im going to have four lessons to finish the teaching. Today Im going to talk about the first lesson. II. Teaching aims 1, Aims on the knowledge (1) Students can

4、 master the words from unit1 to unit4. (2) Students can master the sentence patterns: What lessons do you have.? What subject do you like? Whats the matter with you? Do you have any hobbies? Does ? What do you usually do ? and the answers. (3) Check the exercise of unit5. 2. Aims on the abilities (1

5、) To develop Ss abilities of listening and speaking. (2) To train the Ss ability of working in groups. (3) To foster Ss abilities of communication and their innovation. 3. Aims on the emotion (1) To foster Ss consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition. (2) To cultivate Ss interest in

6、English. III. Key-points of this lesson (1) To help Ss ask and answer the questions. (2) Check the exercise of unit5. (3) To enable Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfully. IV. Difficult points To help the Ss ask and answer the questions: What lessons do you have.? What subject do you like?

7、Whats the matter with you? Do you have any hobbies? Does ? What do you usually do ? Make sure they can use them in a real situation. V. Teaching aids CAI, some bookmarks VI. Teaching methods As we all know, the main instructional aims of learning English in primary school is to cultivate pupils basi

8、c abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson Ill mainly use CLT (Communicative Language Teaching) and CAI (Computer Assistant Instruction). The goal of CLT is to develop students communicative competence, which includes both the knowledge abou

9、t language and the knowledge about how to use the language appropriately in communicative situation. The goal of CAI is to provide a real situation for students and make the teaching more easily. VI. Teaching procedures and purposes of my designing. Ill finish this lesson in four steps. Step1. Warm-

10、up 1. Greeting 2. Free talk a. Know something about students b. Know the teacher by teachers information card. Let students read a short passage about their teacher and then answer some questions. Purpose: It is important to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss by talking with each

11、other and at the same time it provides situations to learn the new knowledge. Step2 Presentation and practice 1. Review the sentence: Does? Present the pictures of part A .We know the teachers first hobby is dancing from the teachers information card. The teacher dances beautifully. Does the boy dan

12、ce beautifully? Let students use the other pictures to work in pairs. 2. Check the answer of part A 3. Lead the Evaluation System of this lesson. Look at the screen and check the answer by themselves. Give themselves some stars and add the stars after class. The students who get most of the stars wi

13、ll be the Stars of Wisdom. Purpose: The reasonable Evaluation System can cultivate Ss interest in English and consolidate the knowledge theyve learned. 4. Review the sentences: What lessons do you have? What subject do you like? Do you have any hobbies? a. The teachers second hobby is collecting boo

14、kmarks. Present a bookmark that has a timetable on it. Let students look at the timetable and work in pairs. The students can also get the real bookmarks as prize. b. Discuss the students hobby. Use the sentences: Do you have any hobbies? Whats your hobby? Purpose: To present the sentence by bookmar

15、k is more interesting for the Ss to learn and grasp the meanings. Ask and answer in pairs can foster Ss abilities of communication. 5. Review the Present tense The teachers third hobby is making friends. Introduce a new friend Hejun to the students. a. Listen to a song and guess Hejuns hobby. Purpos

16、e: It can arouse the atmosphere of the class. b. Listen and match Hejun has many friends too. Listen to a short passage and have a match. Let students report the answer. David likes. c. Fill in the blank d. Summary Purpose: CAI can provide a real situation for the Ss to understand the dialogue and t

17、he relationships between people better. 6. Review the sentences: What do you usually do ? What does he/she usually do ? Present Part D of unit5. Let students discuss the picture and make a dialogue. 7. Review the sentence: Whats the matter with you? My friend Hejun is ill. He is going to the hospita

18、l. Present Part B of unit5. Discuss the picture and check the answer. 8. Check the answer of Part C a. My friend Hejun is ill. He can not go to school. So he is calling his teacher Miss Chen. Check the answer together. b. Role-play Purpose: In order to get the information they need, the Ss should co

19、mmunicate with others as much as possible. This fully embodies the teaching theory of Learning in Doing. The Ss can be more creative in English expression. 9. Write an e-mail to Hejun Step3 Homework 1. Send an e-mail to Hejun. 2. Review unit1 to unit4 and do some exercise. Purpose: Revision is so important that Ss should speak English as much as they in class or after class. It is necessary for Ss to do some exercise after class to consolidate the knowledge they learned.
