1、给父母签证需准备的东西： 访问学者给父母签证一般分两种情况： 1. 在自己申请签证的时候直接带父母携签，这种是最方便的，因为父母只要跟 着去使馆就好，通常不会问什么问题，主要是问 J1 问题，只要 J1 过了，父 母的 B1/B2 签证肯定也过，没有问题。准备的材料跟后面一种情况的准备的 差不多，不需要给 VO 的信，不需要准备 J1 的材料。但是听说有一种可能就 是，如果你的签证被 check 了，父母的签证不会给 10 年的。不知道是否属 实，大家可以互相打听下。 2. 另一种情况就是自己已经签完了，让父母再去签证。这种情况不管你人是否 在美国了，我认为最好都需要准备一封给 VO 的信。目
2、的是父母通常没什么 经验，怕他们说不明白，写封信放在材料的最上面让他们直接递进去给 VO，让 VO 了解一下情况。这样比较方便。我是每次都写了信给 VO，然后 给爸妈准备好所有材料，放在一个文件夹里，让爸妈直接连同信一起递给 VO，让 VO 需要什么自己挑，省事，呵呵。当然，如果人已经在美国了，父 母在签证，可以同时附一封给父母的信，表示想念，希望他们过去美国看看， 旅游一下之类的，就可以了，可以用中文写。不管是否已经到美国，都要随 父母的材料附上自己 J1 的相应材料，具体见材料清单。另外，如果父母自 己去签证，一定提前帮着父母演练一下，自己想想 VO 可能会问到的问题。 比如：去干什么，打
3、算待多久，孩子在美国做什么，哪个大学的。 。 。 。等等 等等，千万帮父母想好问题，想好答案，一定告诉父母清楚自己在美国做什 么，哪个大学之类的，别让父母搞不清楚乱说，否则很容易拒签。总之，我 觉得父母申请签证就是咱们的事情，咱们把东西准备的越全，问题想得越全， 交代的越清楚，父母签证越轻松。 3. 后面附带我妈去签证，我自己给 VO 写的信还有给我妈准备的签证材料清单， 给大家参考。每家的情况不同，大家可以根据自己情况修改。B1/B2 的签证 千万不要提到照顾孩子之类的（尤其孩子小的更要注意） 。一定要强调去旅 游，然后强调有能力支付旅游费用，跟国内联系紧密，肯定会回国就可以了。 Augus
