Getting Started1.1 OverviewThis Users Manual contains instructions and information pertaining to GDQJ-II digital recorders. Chapter 1 describes overview of GDQJ-II digital recorder. Chap
9、ter 2 describes the overall operation of recorders. Chapter 3 describes the maintenance and service of recorders.1.2 IntroductionGDQJ-II is a three channel digital recorder. Combined with MBA-30 triaxial force-balance accelerometer, it composed a strong motion seismograph system. GPS time system and
10、 modem remote access system are optional components.GDQJ-II digital recorder features a three-channel, 24-bit AD and DSP board that offers approximately 120dB of dynamic range at 200sps.When the ground motion acceleration meets the trigger conditions, the recorder can automatically record the time h
11、istory of event. After one event is recorded, a data file will be created in the recorders memory, and then the record comes into standby mode automatically. In addition to recording the acceleration time history, this recorder can also report the parameters related to the earthquake intensity quick
12、ly. If this function is set, the recorder will automatically analyze the recorded data. The reference intensity and the data related to intensity, such as peak value, duration, main period, and response spectra at four frequencies, can be transmitted to data center through MODEM or telemetry, or by
13、a visit to the recorder site. The recorder can also transmit a continuous stream of digital data in real time.Typically, the recorder contains the following components: System electronic circuit board A rechargeable battery(12V, 12AH) GPS time system OEM circuit boardThe front panel of this recorder
14、 is shown in Fig.1-1.There are power switch, manual trigger switch, GPS antenna connector, RS232 and MODEM connector and sensor connector on the front panel. The power supply of this recorder is 12V, 12AH battery. The battery should be charged in alternating current 220v. After the parameters are se

Configuring & Operating Instruments2.1 Working ModeThe digital recorder has two working mode: trigger recorder mode and real-time monitor mode. In normal work, th
17、e digital recorder commonly used to trigger record mode.2.2 Using procedure2.2.1 PasswordFirst, turning on the power switch and inputting the password: “IEM9804”.2.2.2 Communication with recorderWhen truing on power switch, the digital recorder is working on data acquisition state. The recorder moni
18、tors the ground motion continuously by triaxial sensor. When the ground motion acceleration meets the trigger conditions, the recorder can automatically record the time history of event.When connecting the recorder with monitor computer via RS232 cable, the GDQJ4 monitor programme can be running in
19、the monitor computer. Selecting the “record list” icon and clicking right mouse button with the sub-station and choosing the connection command, then the message box appears sub-station connection information. If you can successfully connect to the sub-station, instrument receives commands, and resp
20、onds the commands.Fig.2- 1 connecting the digital recorder2.2.3 Monitoring the recorderWhen connecting the recorder with PC, you can send command to change it status into monitor status. The meaning of monitor command is: if the recorder is recording an event, break recording work and enter the moni
21、toring state. In monitoring state, PC can send function check, status check, Receive real-time file, parameter setting, and memory management commands. Recorders setting parameters can be scented from the PC to recorder when click the Acnowledge setup button. Only in the monitoring state, trigger pa
22、rameters can be modified and validated. Delete the file only take into action in the recorders state changed into the data acquisition mode. After 30 minutes, when the recorder received no new command, it automatically disconnected with PC and transferred to the data acquisition state (except for in
23、 real-time transmission mode).2.2.4 Real-time receiptIn monitoring state, selecting Receive real-time file command, the recorder will transfer triaxial acceleration data to monitor PC with 100 sample rate per second. To view real-time transferring data, you move mouse in the sub-station name, right-click mouse button and select show wave, as shown below figure.
