His second wife had two daughters just Cinderellas age, by name, Anastasia and Drizella. It was upon the death of this good man, however, that the stepmothers true nature was revealed. Cold

She had a great many friends, such as mice, birds, dogs, and so on. For with each dawn, she found new hop
