2、隘、社會責任感模糊、價值共識缺乏，因而使專業實踐產生許多嚴重的環境與社會負效應另一方面，我國近年來面臨由於政治與社會民主化、多元化，與經濟全球化等多重發展而形成的環境問題之再界定，以及社會與國家關係、社群間關係的翻新；而在相關的理論與實踐上，制式規劃與設計的技術理念與社會意涵也一再受到挑戰與質疑。相關專業者應如何面對此等歷史性的轉變，重新釐清、界定自己的角色、功能與作業方式，遂成為專業教育迫切而根本的課題之一。本所因此強調培養具有敏銳之社會意識的專業的通才 ，以為匡正及因應。配合上述宗旨，本必修課程企圖透過師生文獻閱讀及討論等方式，使修課同學從不同角度了解與環境規劃及設計工作相關的理論性議題，
3、並初步認識環境形塑工作的社會意義。希望此等了解與認識有助於形成本所學生間對專業責任及立場之共識，並幫助學生在未來從事實務工作時，能與業主、環境使用者及社會大眾間建立合理的關係，而不致成為目前最常見的國家權力或資本利益的附庸。本課程與環境規劃設計實習一上 、下為本所僅有的兩門必修課。二者的性質不同，但是閱讀文獻的內容安排儘量互補，本課程的文獻以理論性議題的探討為重，而實習課之閱讀則以實際作業直接相關文獻為主。七、學生分組與教學方式：（一）學生分組：本學期學生須作兩類分組。第一類 A 分組(文獻報告小組，A1A10，共 10 組)是為了第 4 週至第 15 週之逐週文獻課堂報告而作的，每組約23
4、人，負責一週的文獻課堂報告；第二類 B 分組(研究討論小組，B1B6，共 6組)是為了文獻閱讀討論、課堂討論以及整學期的議題研究或經典著作閱讀而作的，每組約 45 人，任務有二：1、每週約時聚會，討論逐週應閱讀的文獻，課前將討論成果與提問上傳至討論區（詳見本大綱第十二項平時作業繳交注意事項 ） ，並於課堂以分組為單位參與討論；2、於學期開始時從教師所列的研究議題或經典著作中選擇一項為整學期小組研究議題或閱讀著作（見本大綱第十一項） ，作文獻蒐尋、閱讀以及其他方式的研究工作，而於期中及期末在課堂上作成果報告。（二）為了提高學生參與的積極性及學習興趣，全學期教學將分三部份進行：（1）前 3 週由教
5、師講課，將本學期預定討論的主要理論性議題及相關背景作提綱2挈領式的介紹；（2）第二階段 10 週由學生 A 分組（文獻報告小組）每組負責一週的課堂文獻閱讀報告，主持師生討論（相同主題之各組須事前先討論協調課堂報告的內容與方式） ；（3）第三階段由學生 B 分組（研究討論小組）於第十一週舉辦期中成果分享會，並於期末 3 週報告研究或經典著作閱讀成果。所有師生均須事先閱讀文獻。此外，學生每人並須逐週（報告週除外）就每項必讀文獻（打號者）繳交至少一頁、至多二頁長的文獻內容摘要與心得討論，至遲於上課前兩日（每週二晚上 12:00 之前）e-mail 給助教（過期不計分） ，助教將彙整全班心得後，每週三
6、中午前 email 給全體師生，於課前閱讀。八課業要求：每一學生須（1）上課、參與課堂討論（佔成績比重 1/5）（2）逐週（報告週除外）繳交必讀文獻內容摘要及閱讀心得討論（1/5 ） ；（3）參與第一類 A 分組（文獻報告小組） ，作文獻閱讀與分組課堂報告，並須回應各研究討論小組之提問（1/5）（4）參與第二類 B 分組（研究討論小組） ，作特定議題的研究（或經典著作閱讀）之成果或心得報告（分組課堂報告及期末書面報告） （1/5 ） ；（5）撰寫一篇個人學期心得報告（文長約 10,000 字） （1/5 ） 。學期成績取決於上述五方面的表現。個人學期學習心得報告及分組議題研究或經典著作閱讀書面
