Thinking tasks 本部分在学生阅读理解的基础上，以对比填表的方式进一步来理解动物，让学 生们意识到动物真正的需求，激发生的内心感触，同时也可检测学生对本单元 语言知识的掌握情况。Sentence bank 是用来给学生提供语言支持的。Look them up 是本部分出现的一些比较难的词组，学生可
2、以查阅词典了解它们的意思。 二、课前准备 1. 准备教学视频，教学挂同和教学课件。 2. 准备本课的词语卡片。 3. 准备奖励贴等，进行学习效果的评价。 三、初学步骤与建议 Step 1: Warm-up/Revision 1)师生问好。 2)图片游戏热身。 教师出示各种动物的图片，让学生边看边举手回答，说对的学生，教师发一枚 奖励贴，为本课的学习做热身。 Step 2: Presentation 1)教师播放马戏团表演的视频。让同学们仔细观看，然后说出看到的动物。 T: Do you like circus shows? S: Yes. T: What animals did you see

S: A monkey./A tiger./An elephant. 教师带领学生说一说视频中的动物有哪些。 2)教师请同学们打开书，快速扫读，圈出短文中的动物单词，自己读一读。然 后教师播放短文录音，让学生两人一组听音，模仿读单词。 3)教师再次播放视频，让学生说出动物们正在表演的项目。 T: Please look and say what they are doing now. Which is good for animals? 6)学生以小组为单位，说出自己的答案，教师评价，对表现突出的小组奖励。 Step 3: Practice 教师将本课一些词语打乱顺序，用 PPT 闪烁的形式，随机展示，让学生边看边 起立读出词语。 让学生以组为单位，轮流进行，看哪个组说的词语数量多。

For viewing sea animals, the best places include the Channel Islands off the coast of California. The islan
8、ds are surrounded by sea lions, seals, gray whales and humpback whales. There are also a lot of tide pools that house creatures such as sea urchins and anemones. Another area great for water animals is Glacier Bay in Alaska. Humpback whales and sea lions are in abundance off shore and on land bears
9、and moose are often times available for viewing. Other national parks for best wildlife viewing are Denali National Park in Alaska, Glacier National park in Montana.
